CPI Partners with DeviceFidelity

CPI Card Group (CPI), a global leader in financial and commercial card production and related services, announced today that the company has expanded its relationship with DeviceFidelity, Inc by becoming an official certified reseller of the DeviceFidelity In2Pay solution. This expert partnership will allow CPI to offer the In2Pay microSD technology to financial institutions, mobile carriers, transit agencies, access providers and other closed loop payment organizations. Over the last 12 months CPI and DeviceFidelity have partnered together with several major financial institutions and currently have multiple mobile contactless payments programs in the works.

It gives the payment organizations the option to get into NFC world with a simple business model where they keep the control. Both DeviceFidelity and CPI have been involved in all microSD based pilots throughout North America, with CPI acting as the card maker and in some cases, the personalization bureau, CPI won an innovation award at the Cardware Conference for providing the DeviceFidelity microSD personalized with LIVE prepaid accounts to guests in a special hospitality area during the 2010 Winter Olympics in Canada.  The immensely successful pilots with the DeviceFidelity microSD solution in the US is transforming how the current ecosystem views NFC microSD solutions, and gives credence to the commercial and long term viability of such a solution, given the involvement of the banks, payment networks and trusted partners such as CPI.

DeviceFidelity is heading the development of the product and associated software while CPI is responsible for the pre-personalization, personalization, packaging, fulfillment, promotion and distribution to the market.  The DeviceFidelity In2Pay solution is the world’s only mobile payment solution that includes the patented In2Pay Personalization Package designed to allow mass market issuance of the solution using current bank issuing processes and leveraging certified secure personalization facilities such as the ones offered by CPI.
