Finishing Operator
Finishing Operators perform machine set-ups and run jobs according to customer specifications. The tasks include:
- Collation - operator tacks plastic overlay to the fronts and backs of printed sheets.
- Lamination - operator sets-up a “sandwich” of sheets, plastic overlay and metal plates and guide through the machine.
- Die Cutting – operator insert sheets and adjust machinery to accurately punch out cards.
- Inspection – operator check for quality issues by hand or using machinery.
- Hot Stamping - operator applies components to cards using heat technology.
All tasks require strict attention to detail, ability to troubleshoot and adjust machinery and visually inspect for quality issues. Shifts available are 10 and 12 hours. Physical requirements include good color vision, repeated use of fingers, hands and arms and consistent standing, lifting, climbing, bending and twisting. Lifting requirements are up to 50 lbs. Candidates must be able to work in fast paced environment and to follow written and oral instructions. Mechanical aptitude is helpful, but not necessary.
